Blackstone Glacier located in the west section of Prince William Sound.  You have to take a boat to get to it; there are several convenient tours out of Whittier, Alaska. \n\nThis glacier is stable - it is neither advancing nor receding, which means that the same amount of ice is being created through annual snowfall as is melting/calving each year.  Some glaciers, such as Exit Glacier just north of Seward, Alaska, have been receding for more than 2 centuries.  Other Alaskan glaciers are advancing.
