From the top of Mt Rigi in Switzerland you can almost see forever. There are a few hotels and a few miscellaneous ski lifts. There are fairly steep walkways around the mountain. Here is a little cafe that served coffee and snacks, and which played alpine accordian music at a low enough volume to top off the ambiance.\n\nTo get to the top of Mt Rigi, take the train to Lucerne. Take a boat across Lake Lucerne to Vitzau. Then take a fun cog train ride to the top of the mountain. Definitely worth the trip!
