$We saw this incredible flower on our night hike. The reason it's incredible is that my guide had never ever seen it before, and she was very experienced, plus I was the one who spotted it. She guessed that it bloomed only at night, and that it was perhaps pollenated by bats or some other nocturnal flying animal. If you know the name of this flower, please let me know else I'll claim it as a newly discovered species.\n\nStrangely, I was the only person interested in the night hike. I think it was more a factor of the rest of the tourists just being very tired than people being uninterested or afraid. Anyway, if you get a chance to go on a night hike in the Peruvian Amazon, definitely take it. And bring some extra flashlights to illuminate your subject so that your camera can focus better.$
