Sacred Valley, Peru

The Sacred Valley is essentially the collection of Incan ruins along the Urubamba River between Cusco and Machu Picchu.  It is a beautifully scenic trip with many more stops than I had the opportunity to take, including a few well off the beaten path.

Sacred Valley Attractions
Road from Cusco - A few pictures I took along the rural, winding road that goes from Cusco to Pisac.
Pisac - An incredibly large Incan ruin with massive terraces and a set of buildings you can get lost in (I did!).
Moray - Looks like a big, circular terrace in the middle of nowhere.  If you know the story, it becomes much more than that.
Ollantaytambo - The only royal Incan estate that is still inhabited, this steep ruin is a must see.  Indeed you can hardly avoid it.  This is the last stop for the train and the first stop on the Inca trail, both of which head to Machu Picchu.  There are a set of massive stones at the top that are worth the climb up.
