This is the view from the top of Wayna/Huanya Picchu. The peak at the top/center of the photo is Machu Picchu. Obviously all the agricultural terraces and dwellings are visible at the main site. At the bottom right of the main site you can see the two large Wayna/Huayna Picchu huts where the trail up here starts.\n\nThe Inca Trail comes from the upper left of the picture and drops into the site at the top. I don't know if there is a place to collect $20 admission fee if you come in via this entrance.\n\nThere is a long dirt switchback that starts in the bottom left corner and ends at the multi-story visitor center. This is the slightly-scary, one-lane road that the busses take. At the end of the day on our busride down we were met by a friendly waving boy dressed in native garb at each switchback. He would shout and wave at the bus, then sprint straight down the footpath to met the bus again and again and again. Each time we saw him it was funnier and funnier. At the bottom of the road he boarded the bus, said greetings in several different languages, and then proceeded to ungraciously collect tips.
