Would you recommend this for little kids?

Our 2-year old had a great time, and luckily at that age she was free. But starting at 3 years old you have to pay, and they can't do the dolphin experience until they are 7, I think. So if you have a 3 year old, you have to weigh the fun against the price.

The dolphin experience sure is a lot more money. Should I do it?

There are several places around the world where you can swim with dolphins. Roatan, Honduras for one. If you're lucky, JoJo the wild dolphin will swim with you in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Carribean. There are others.

But when are you going to get to one of those places? For the vast majority of people this is their only shot. And I always say that if you only have one shot you had better take it.

I was lucky enough to swim with JoJo in the Turks and Caicos in the early 1990s. So it wasn't that big a deal to me to swim with trained dolphins. At least that's what I thought before I got there. But there were 2 events during the swim that made it memorable. The first was the feeling of petting a dolphin. The second was the incredibly unique view you had during the ride (or should I say drag?). I'll never experience that again.

There were definitely some dolphin fanatics in the water with us. And I can say without a doubt that they had the absolute time of their lives. If you are a dolphin nut, then you must spring for the dolphin swim. You will not regret it.
