What is there to do on Sanibel Island?
You can go birdwatching, collect shells along the beach, or just relax by the ocean. You can rent a bicycle and take advantage of
their beautiful bike trails. Some places have boat tours which may feature dolphin or manatee viewing, or perhaps a dinner cruise.
There's even a small historical lighthouse to see on the southeastern portion of the island.
Is it expensive?
Kind of. It cost $6 in 2005 just to cross the toll bridge to get onto the island. An inexpensive hotel ran about $150/night.
